Sisters

I have a really hard time figuring out where to post pictures of both girls. I was going to get better shots but my phone died.

20140219-151533.jpgPlease excuse Sophie’s sweatpants. It’s warming up but not quite warm enough for no pants or tights.

Willing.

The first female special agent for Britain during WW II went by the code-name “Willing”. Emma is shaping up to be just as brilliant and tough. Sophia loves her so much it looks like it hurts, but Emma loves her right back. Because she is so tiny, she can’t grab onto Sophie or run and play…or protect herself or say no, but she is so willing to be part of all the action.

Emma’s doing pretty good right here…

Here she’s a bit non-plussed with the chin holding. I should also make note of the events that led to this moment. Emma was having some tummy time on the boppy…have you noticed that neck strength? That’s not from lying on her back! Sophie held her by her shoulders and hugged her and talked sweet to her and rubbed her face and hair against Emma’s face. Emma just pursed her lips and closed her eyes. Such patience and grace under pressure!

Don’t worry, Emma, your momma saved you soon after these were taken! Love you!

Daddy time

These are really blurry, but I love them. Emma is so sweet and happy. (Anthony wanted me to crop him out because he thought he looked fat. I think he looks great. Editor’s choice.)
Please note her blue seahorse in her crib. Thank you, Aunt Libby. We have been sleep training so the seahorse softly lulls her into a deep sleep. It works for me and Anthony, too. No lie. (When I say sleep training, I mean turning the seahorse on so he glows and plays music, putting Emma’s paci in, and she falls asleep in approximately five minutes or less, though lately she has found her voice and talks a little longer. {I mentioned to mom that I am concerned Emma might be the talker in our family. Can you imagine if Sophie is our quiet one? Yikes!} Easy peasy. Any other child we have will be impossible compared to her. We won the lottery with these girls.)
